Project IDENTITY Campaign Video

Client: Project YOU

Video Production

This is a campaign video created to promote an event called “Project IDENTITY” hosted by Project YOU. Project YOU is an organization that intends to create a meaningful space for women to achieve greater self-confidence, face their fears and be able to fully express who they are from the inside out. Female influencers are invited every month to speak about their experiences based on a given topic for the event.

Since this is a fictional film clip intended to promote a future event, pre-production was a crucial aspect. The client shared with me the key factors that they wanted on the video, and I came up with the scenario that formed the basic structure.
I had planned out all of the shots that I will need to compose the clip, hence the client and I had a brief meeting to discuss about some of the details (like the filming space, props, shooting angle, etc.) and the general schedule before we went ahead with the video shooting. The video shooting went very smoothly and in a laid-back mood, taking shots by shots as I directed the actress and the client crew.
The video was created in 2 versions: a 2 minute version for YouTube and Facebook, and a 1 minute version for Instagram. Although the processes of selecting footages and putting pieces together were time consuming, the overall editing went fairly smoothly as I’d already planned out the outline of the video from the pre-production stage. The client had provided me with the music clips beforehand, which helped to form the basic structure quickly and to allow me to put more time into the minor details such as timing of footage transition.

All sections of the video are shot using Canon EOS 6D, the audio is recorded with Rode VideoMic GO attached on to the camera, and the music is provided by the client.
